  1. yes because they are hair straighteners they burn your hair the same as all straighteners they burn the ends of your hair and applying heat to your hair means that it gets burnt  :)  hope this helps x

  2. they are especially if you use them every day cos they dry out your hair loads!

  3. Everyone always says how bad they are for your hair and i understand why, afterall you are putting an intense heat on your hair making your hair dry and tugging it against its natural form can't be that good either.

However, i have been using GHD's for four years and they have done wonders for my hair! Can style my hair to perfection. Aslong as you get regular haircuts every six weeks to prevent split ends and use deep conditioning treatment once a week (V05 hot oil treatment is fantastic by the way!) then no real bad damage is done!

  4. all straighteners are bad for your hair if you use them often enough as they all burn and kill your hair

  5. the heat from ghds reach unbelievable temperatures thats why hair is dead straight and silky with them. tresemme products are available to lessen the effect of damage to the hair.

  6. As long as you use heat protection spray your hair will probably be fine.

  7. Any heated appliance is bad for hair such as hair dryers, curling tongs etc

But if you have your hair cut regularly and use a thermal protection product when styling you should be ok

  8. well, you have to use styling products before you use it becuz they go up to like 300 degrees. so yeah, they could probally really damage ur hair

  9. GHD are good but they are bad as well because heat can damage your hair sometimes so if you want to GHD's go ahead but don't use it everyday

  10. GHD's are the best!

Although they DO damage your hair... as all heated styling products do.

This is because of the heat and you are 'frying' your hair.

One way to avoid this is to always use a Heat protection product before straightening your hair, Tresseme do a good one x
