Are Gauloises still popular in France, despite recent public smoking bans, as a form of patriotism?

  1. I went beginning of year and every tabac still sold them, my husband only buys that brand when we go and hes half french???


  2. No, Gauloises are not really popular in France, only old old people smoke that, i maybe tryed couple of times because i had no choice.

    American blends are nore popular, marlboro, camel, philip morris.

  4. Since the smoking in buildings ban arrived in France the press report a 15% rise in the number of people giving up smoking. They do not report how many people have started smoking, nor is there any mention of any effect on cigarette sales. I can only conclude that Gauloises are now smoked to the same extent as before. As for it being a form of patriotism, I do not believe that enters into it at all. People but them because they are a pleasant smoke.
