  1. No way. they are modified to grow easier - less water, less pesticide, less weather sensitive. They're modified to ship better - less waste. They supply the same nutrients, unless modified to produce more. It's really wrong to ban GM foods, poor people would suffer most from that.

  2. i havent heard of any but i am a bit skeptical about them because since these foods are altered artificially i am scared that some of this artificial stuff might not go well with our systems or other animals systems but until further research is done assessing it, i would tell u to eat them but u can try them on ur plants

  3. NO, are GM pets (miniture Poodles, Labradoodles, and weeny dogs) bad?

GM foods have the potential to end famine in areas where food growth is minimal. Places like Africa and the middle East where people are starving.

Norman Borlaug has saved countless lives with his research and implementation of Genetically Modified plants that can grow in dry soil and have a high yield. Mr. Borlaug has helped people in Mexico, India, and Pakistan to grow the food that they need to survive.

People who oppose GM or GE foods are often of Western and developed nations who have had a large selection of foodsm to choose from. These people have never been forced to go hungry due to a lack of food. For them to criticize GM food is easy.

GM and GE food is nothing new. Over thousands of years humans have been selectively breeding plants that were resistant to disease, pests, and other dangers. Plants were bread to be sweeter, larger, and higher yielding.

If you have eaten a Tomato, Potato, or even an Orange you have eaten one of the first GM foods. These crops are larger, more resistant to disease, and higher yielding than they were over a thousand years ago.

GM Foods will help save human lives. Environmentalists use the temporary fear that it might inconvineance the health of western and developed peoples of the world in order for thier opposition of GE and GM foods to save millions of starving people arround the world. This view is anti-human and genocidal in nature and should not be taken by anyone who considers themselves to be progressive.

  4. Definitely, yes. Because they are lacking the basic ingredient medicinal properties of natural produces.

Further, they are being modified to withstand time without going rotten which induces the people to keep them for a long time without knowing the ill effects of long time unusage.

Moreover, GM crops are attracting/conducive for new insects and pests for which new and new chemical pesticides/insecticides are to be invented which in turn increasing degradation of soil environment and causing water pollution.

Anything which is in the original form as gifted by the Mother Nature is always good to human!

  5. Man has been "Genetically Modifying" foods since they started agriculture. Cross-breeding of any plant is genetically modifying. The only difference is now the lab happens to have epoxy counter tops instead of wooden ones. Meaning the work is being done in a lab and not a greenhouse.

All the scare tactics are just that. If the populous was a bit more educated, fear mongers wouldn't have a job.

  6. I haven't heard of any bad effects, but I think that more research is needed.  Just because no one has found a problem yet doesn't mean there aren't any.  They should be considered dangerous until proven safe, not vice versa.
