Are Germans and Austrians generally hostile towards one another?

Since they are neighboring countries and they are always getting compared to one another. Is there resentment among the two countries and its inhabitants?

Not that I am aware of, I lived in Germany for two years in the 70's and visited Austria a few times while there. The Austrians speak German, Italian or French or all of them and we never notices anything different. When we crossed the border and came back we were stopped by border patrol to see our passports and a car inspection if needed, but that is all.
