Are Giftcards in a Stolen Wallet Covered by Insurance?

Had my backpack stolen a couple weeks ago, does insurance typically cover giftcards, or are they treated like cash? Thanks

Nope.  They are considered cash as you have no way of proving what the balance was when they were taken.
