Are Giraffe Legal in Virginia?

hi, i was reading odd stories, and there was one about a man who owned a giraffe in VA. Is it really legal? Just wondering- it got my curiosity up. :)

Well it would be funny to see one being snuck over the border! :D Chances are, the man you read about has a special zoological lisence and a background in the field. It takes being recognized by the state as a zoo to get many of the large exotics.
