Are Haier Lcd tv's nice tv's or are they bad tv's?

Well to be honest I have never heard of that brand. ut I asked my dad and he had never heard of it either and he does alot of research on TV's. He looks on alot of rating lists on LCD tvs and it was never on any of them he said so I don't know what that means. But it's not in the top 20.

Pretty much bottom of the barrel. The Taiwanese and Chinese LCD's are OK for computer monitors, but a long way from the performance needed for TV.

The rule when buying an LCD TV is get it from one of the "S's". That would be Samsung, Sharp or Sony.

Answers seem to be from people who don't own one. Haier  is one of the largest electronic companies in China They mfg their flat panels in the same place LG, Phillips and a few other companies get theirs.

The picture quality is awesome I have a 42" full 1080i/1080p tv.

The picture is way better than my Sharp Aquos and I have had mine for 6 months now Features are great 2 HDMI, full color adjustments etc Everything you get from most BUT FOR A LOT LESS MONEY I will buy Haier again

Also look at the new IBIZA(sp) MP3 PLAYER ,RATED ONE OF THE BEST IN THE INDUSTRY ALSO BY Haier Their AC"S  Fridges etc are also very good

personally, I love my plasma samsung. my friend also bought a samsung. I think that brand comes from walmart and if so, don't buy it. I haven't seen a good picture in that store yet!
