Are Honda Nighthawks highly desireable bikes

Question

I recently purchased a 1986 Honda Nighthawk 450. I paid a little above book value for it - $1275, but it was worth it in my mind. I know prices are high because of the current gas situation, but I notice the 450 Nighthawks on Craigslist and eBay nationwide generally are selling higher than the 650's and 750's. Is there something about the 450's that drive up the price? How did that bike rate back in the day?

A 450 was a big bike when I learned to ride. It's fully capable of highway speed, though not big enough for trans-con work.  I ride a 1992 Nighthawk 750 and it truly can do anything. Plus I've put 50K miles on it (82K total) with very, very few repairs, none major.
