Are Ice baths good after practices?

After your done practiceing for a sport like hockey are ice baths good for your legs to like to make you not cramp up?

  1. yes it does. it helps your muscles relax but u do not want to stay in there to long. i would say about 10 to 15 minutes max.


  2. Ice baths are just to help with soreness. So yeah it could be a good thing if you did it after practices.

  3. I don't know ice's affect on cramping but I know they are used to cool down the muscles to reduce sore-ness and injury.

  4. i play football and after we have a hard practice i take an ice bath. i only stay in it for about 10 to 15 minutes max but i feel ten times better when i get out of them. im not sure if it helps with cramping but to help with that you gotta eat some bananas.
