Imran Khan, one of Pakistan's finest ever cricketers, has voiced his fears for the future of cricket in Pakistan, following the cancellation of the CT. 'Because the country is run by the wrong people, cricket will not improve, only suffer more' he said. He blamed Musharraf for the state the country is in & said but for him, this may have been resolved long ago & the tournament would have gone ahead. What are your thoughts on these comments?

  1. i think hes right Imran would bring Pakistan more in line with other developed country's hes been brought up in England  so would draw from that experience

but i dont think his reign would last not  long as he would be assassinated

any Pakistani leader would take the Americans money  and abuse its its human nature ,if some one feeds you ,,you want the food to still keep coming,, so help them a little bit at a time just to keep the USA happy,, not to much cos the money will dry up ....apart from Imran of course

    .

  2. Making statements in media is a business for the famous and the ground reality may differ.

Fear may affect the performance of players and it is better not to play ,safety is more valuable and important than a game of cricket,

A game can be played any safe part of the world.

Bingalee you tell me is it worth risking lives to play in a particular country.

  3. I agree with his comments

  4. The future of Pakistan cricket is a cause for grave concern, not just because of the CT cancellation, but due to the infrastructure being poor. Less international teams visiting will mean less matches for the public to watch; Pakistan playing abroad all the time will mean a lack of role models; so people will be less likely to follow and get in to playing cricket.

As for Imran's comments about Musharraf: I am not well up on the political scene in Pakistan, but if it is anything like the one here in Britain, then it could be viewed as one politician scoring points off another, and boosting his own ratings into the bargain.

Never trust a politician, they all lie.

  5. Yes i agree with him.He said they are not receiving much funding from the government and now there are loosing all this money from the cancelation of the champions trophy matches.

So yes i think he is justified in him comments.

  6. imran khan always rite

  7. Imran Khan is the best Pakistan has either in cricket or in politics. He has the ability to lead people. He is always right.

  8. Are Imran Khan's comments justified, to a point yes they are but a scathing attack on the president was off the topic of cricket and so not justified. I personally do not want to see Pakistan become another Zimbabwe where noone wants to play them due to politics and escalating social unrest. I hope that the Champions Trophy is rescheduled to a date in the near future. Dubai is a viable option so why not take it.

  9. can not judge because Imran might be making his political meal on the fire of this statement, who cares , to h**l with !

  10. Honestly  I agree with him. It's not fair to the Cricketers and the ordinary Pakistani people. Not all Pakistani's are violent, not all of them hate India and the Western Countries. I feel bad for Pakistan.

  11. Well i won't say anything about President Musharraf but, what can Imran Khan do VS the tribal areas of Pakistan...so i say no comment.

1.Imran Khan can be the best politician.

2.Imran Khan can be the best bowler.

However, what is Imran Khan doing to change Pakistani's future VS the tribal areas?
