  1. Well, most likely, if Iphones where banned in Canda, it would be on the news, and also, be debates, sues, and questions to why, so i think personally NO, because, if they where, then why has every other country got them? whoever told you this is probably pulling your leg.

  2. heres the web site !!!

  3. Wow I looked this up thinking that they were legal but that's surprising. Here's the info:

  4. no, iphones arent illegal in canaada... theyre was a bit of controversy because the only way to get one in canada was to go on the black market. but then you'd have to pay AT&T intl. fees, but now, it is completley legal to have an iphone

  5. Here's the only thingI can find

  6. No. They are legal just difficult to get.

IPhones are GSM phones which means they will only work on Rogers.

Most cell phones when purchased from a wireless carrier come locked. That means that you can only use them on the network that sold you the phone. If you have the phone unlocked then you can use it on any network that has the same technology.

The unique aspect of the IPhone is that Apple has a deal with AT&T where they get a fee per IPhone user. In exchange the IPhone is locked to At&T use only. Except people have figured out how to unlock them. Estimates are that there are at least 800,000 to a million unlocked IPhones in use. The process of unlocking a IPhone is possibly a violation of IP rights which I guess would make it illegal but you are using the phone not unlocking it.

If you buy a unlocked IPhone it is perfectly legal to use it on Rogers. You won't get much if any support setting up the phone (I have a unlocked Prada phone and it took me five minutes to set it up without Rogers help) and you also have to be very careful buying the phone. Many of the people selling unlocked IPhones on the internet or on e-bay will just take your money and you'll never get a phone so you have to deal with a legitimate and trusted supplier which is hard to do when you are buying something that is grey market.

If you want to ask more questions or just do some research I suggest HowardsForums. _http://www.howardforums.com/  It is basically a half million user chat site for people who are really into cell phones.

  7. Ya, if you get caught with one they either shoot you or lock you up for 15 years

  8. Theres no way they are.

My uncle just bought one from the states and brought it back. And it was brought through customs... do you think customs would allow illgeal things being brought into Canada? No.

  9. they are finally legal but they have to be tied to Rogers cell phone service
