  1. Persians are definitely not Arabs, even though thet are Muslim for the most part...their language (Farsi) is an IndoEuropean language as is  English....Arabic is not!

  2. They are are all brothers and sisters in Christ.

  3. Iran equals Persia.

Some Iranians may look like Arabs cos they live near the border with Iraq or they are descended from Arabs who migrated to Iran.

However while Iranians and Arabs often have darker skin than Northern Europeans and usually have dark hair and eyes I think if you bother to go to the library and read thru back issues of the National Geographic you'll find Iranains differ from Arabs in many ways.

  4. Iranians are, by definition, Persian.

  5. Persia was the name of Iran for more than 2,000 years.

  6. Yes we do! Iranians and persians are very different from Arabs! Iranians speak Persian to start with, and we speak arabic. Plus their features are much different. At least, I can tell.

  7. Persians definitely...they aren't Arabs

  8. Iranians are persian. The only thing they share is their religion.

Arabs speak arabic, iranians speak farsi.

From the Persians are not arabs website:

Persia, which at one point had been one of the greatest empires of all time. From this great culture we gained beautiful art seen in the masterful woven Persian carpets, melodic poetic verse, and modern algebra. The fall of this great dynasty to Islamic control in 633-656 will also be touched upon. Since that time, surrounding Arab nations have forced the former power to repeatedly restructure changing former Persia into present day Iran. (see “Renaming Iran” for more information). But with history and culture this rich, it is to no surprise that Persians want to be distinguished from their Arab neighbors.

  9. Iranians are Arabs. Persia has not existed since 1952, it was renamed Iraq.

  10. Persians, one reason being that they don't speak Arabic. They speak Farsi.

  11. They are Indo Europeans, not Arabs.

But, they are pretty closely related because a population came out of the East Mediterranean area about 9,000 years ago and expanded right across all of the middle East, North Africa, Southern Europe and as far as china and India. So genetically they are pretty closely related.

  12. Persians
