  1. Yes. Northern Ireland is part of the United Kingdom.

  2. N. Ireland is a temporary political anomoly which is soon to be abolished. This is in line with the failure of the yUK as an entity. Scotland will be a republic in our lifetime and this will be the final 'nail in the coffin' of the uk. The uk was un-democratically created by english politicians to serve their own greed and to benefit only england.

  3. Yes, they are. Northern Ireland is officially part of the United Kingdom, along with England, Scotland and Wales. The Republic of Ireland is a separate country.

  4. Ireland is the name of entire island

Ireland is split into two different countries; The republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland.  Northern Ireland occupies one fifth of the island with the republic occupying the other four fifths

  5. yes

northern ireland is strictly a province, but the republic of ireland is a separate country.

  6. yes.the republic of ireland occupies most of the island but northern island occupies 6 counties and is  ruled by england  and is part of the united kingdom.

  7. Ireland comprises of the whole 32 counties. The rest is just political bs.

  8. Well, they speak the same language but pay their taxes to different governments ....  yep, they are different countries, one island, two jurisdictions.  For now anyway.

  9. Ireland is an island comprised of 32 units called counties.  Six of these currently belong to the United Kingdom and are called Northern Ireland, (Antrim, Armagh, Down, Derry, Fermanagh and Tyrone).  At the moment, as I have said, Northern Ireland is part of the United Kingdom and so could be considered to be a different country.

However, most reasonable people hope that some day the whole island of Ireland will become one country again without the need to resort to violence to achieve this.

  10. Ireland is the legal name of what is the Republic of Ireland.  The name Ireland is used in most official documents both internally and internationally.  There are exceptions for example FIFA.  Republic of Ireland is the legal description of the country.  When talking about both colloquially they are referred to as the North and the Republic.

Northern Ireland is a constituent nation in the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland.

  11. yah

its a constituent country close to ireland

  12. With regard to other answers - Northern Ireland is a seperate country - NOT a province (Ulster is a province).

Ireland is not a country but the name of the island on which the two wonderful wee countries get along so well... i.e. The Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland.
