Is there an automatic kinship with Jews from anywhere? Or are they strangers just like anybody else?

Are Israelis suspicious of people, suspecting the worst when they visit your country? Or is it just 'blah' tourists.

  1. No.

Israelis are warm and welcoming people who are curious about others and want to learn from all people.  As such, all visitors are welcomed and treated kindly, as long as they are not offensive or disrespectful, of course!

If you look at the link below, you can read about an Iranian (Muslim) who visited Israel; his experiences and comments:

    -so please judge for yourself:)

  2. its not as simple as that. whenever a foreigner with a foreign accent visits israel, they have to be suspicious. it helps if youre jewish or can speak hebrew, but they still suspect everyone, even israelis. when people walk on the streets, if they see a backpack or something, they call the police, because many times they have been left as a ticking time-bomb

  3. I'm an American Jew, but didn't realize my goatee resembled the Arabs. Once I was clean-shaven, I was treated like another Jewish person with warmth. Before that, I was routinely stopped & searched at checkpoints.

  4. well there might be an "automatic kinship" to jews, but they are by no means less kind to non jews!
