  1. Yes. Italians are Latin. In fact they are the first  original Latins. The Latin language came from Rome which is the capital of Italy. Spaniards, French, and Portuguese are also Latin by virtue of the Roman blood in their race and the fact that they speak Latin languages. Italian horror movie producer Dario Argento in an interview said" that is the way I am because I am Latin.'' However Italians are also whites by virtue of the fact that they are Europeans. The question has been asked ''are Italians Latin or white?'' They are both. Not every question is either or. Some questions are both and. The question of are Italians Latin or white is not an either or question but a both and question. Examples: For example are dogs canines or felines? This is an either or question. Is a bear a carnivore or a herbivore? It is both since a bear eats meat and fruits. This would be a both and question.

  2. latins from europe such as italians french and spanish are white euopeans,  the latinos as the phrase is used in the usa refers to hispanic people like mexicans puerto ricans cubans etc. latin europeans are simply refered to as white whereas hispanics /latino's are mixed race.

  3. latin yes but not latin as used in america where it stands for latino refering to mexicans, puerto ricans etc. latins such as italians french and spaniards are white european ethnic groups , latino's are the ancestors of spanish mixed with and amerindians, native americans. today the term latin refers to hispanics and south americans of mixed race descent.

  4. yes  Italians are Latin
because of their culture and language
    i dont get how Americans
    say we're white?? their wrong.
    get you're fax straight!!!
    no offense

  5. I myself am Italian, and even though I am well educated and know that Italians are of Latin history, the way that "Latin" descent is used today refers to the Latino culture.  I guess the best way to answer this question is "techinacally yes, but the way 'Latin descent' is used no".  There are a lot of incorrect labels used to describe people for example the "Native American" race is not native to America.  True, they did settle here centuries before the Europeans, but they are in fact from Asia.

  6. they are latin celtic and germanic mixture like the other latin european country

  7. Not in the way the word Latin is used in the United States. Latin, Latino, Hispanic all have the same meaning in the United States. It is to describe Spanish speaking cultures, usually, but not necessarily  of mixed race.

  8. Hugh DUGH Italy is where Origins of Latin come from. Have you no clue at the writings on the walls it's in Latin language. So how can Italians not be on Latin descent.

    so the answer is Yes
