Are JR Maglev trains currently in use?

Maglev is a special, advanced train that floats on a cushion of money.

The French have routinely matched every maglev speed record with their "regular" steel wheel on steel rail TGV trains, which are far cheaper to build tracks for.

Needless to say, virtually all high-speed-rail installations are "regular railroad" including the Japanese Shinkansen.

There's a current maglev train being used in China. Saw it the Discovery channel the other night.
