  1. You've been to South Dakota or Wyoming, haven't you?

Didn't you see the mounted head of one?  Wasn't that proof enough?

    Yes, they're real - a real crack-up! LOL!

I actually convinced my friend they were real (she was from another country).  I told her they always died in captivity, that's why they weren't in zoos.  Then - someone told her the truth.  I would have, but wanted to wait another month or so.  My bad.

  2. If you believe in them, then yes. There are some states that give out hunting licenses for them. If they are not real, then why do some states do that. I have one in my house. It is a bank. There was a movie some years back. About some crazy guy building an ark. He would take, and kill animals from the zoo. Then stuff them, and put them on his ark. All he needed was a boy, and a girl. He kidnapped a boy. The boy got away by grabbing the jackalope, and stabbing him with the horns. Now if it is in a movie, then it has to be real.

  3. No they are not real.

  4. First off they would have a mating pair in zoo's and they would have a dead one in museums... And because they are so rare the would be on the most en-dangered list for animals..... Now not being list  of one by itself mean nothing but not to be on all 3 list says that they are non-existent... And for an animal that is suppose like to drink boozes I can't believe that some hunter has not boozed up a jackalope with some 180 proof rum,, That would knock a jackalope on its butt and it will not be-able to find it feet further more run away lol..............

  5. Oh they are very real.  There is one under many houses.  They come up the sewer pipes and out of the toilet and into your bedroom about midnight.

  6. myth

  7. yes you can find them in Odessa, Texas. just ask anyone there. they even have a Jackalope statue.

  8. Yes they are real.  Elvis Presley has one as a pet in the apartment he rents from Jerry Garcia.

  9. Some believe that the tales of jackalopes were inspired by sightings of rabbits infected with the Shope papillomavirus, which causes the growth of horn- and antler-like tumors in various places on the rabbit's head and body.[1] However, creatures such as the griffin and the chimera perhaps suggest that the concept of an animal hybrid occurs in many cultures. One common southwestern species of jackrabbit is called the antelope jackrabbit, because of its ability to run quickly like an antelope; it would have been easy enough to imagine instead (for comic effect) that this jackrabbit had the horns of an antelope. so in a sense they realy are not anything but a myth.

  10. no unless you glue horns to a rabbits head lol

  11. myth, the only place they exist is in cheesy souviner shops.
