Are Jersey Joe Walcott and Louis Eugene Walcott related?

I know BB King the famous blues musician was the uncle of Sonny Liston, and John Wayne was related to Tommy Morrison, but wouldn't it be something if Jersey Joe Walcott was a blood relative of Louis Farrakhan. A bit ignored boxing history maybe? or just a coincidence they have the same last name. Since so many of you guys reacted to the racial comments by Hopkins, I thought I would get real and talk about racial stuff too, and the position of the Nation of Islam is run by a guy who just happened to have the same last name as a former world heavyweight champ. Were they related? I really do not know.

No.....Jersey Joe's real name was Arnold Raymond Cream & he served as a Sheriff in Camden, New Jersey for many years after his fight career was over. As such, he may have arrested Louis Farrakhan but was never his blood relative.

Did Farrakhan ever box?  Incidentally,  Jersey Joe's real name isn't Walcott so the fact that Farrakhan's real name is Walcott sheds no light on your theory.  

Jersey Joe Walcott took the name from the original Joe Walcott, a turn of the century welterweight great.  He got the idea from his uncle.   His birth name is actually Arnold Raymond Cream.    He didn't think such  a name would carry him far in the sport of boxing.
