Are Kings Dominion season passes dicounted at the end of the season?

Friends bought season passes at the end of the season last year (Octoberish) and said they were greatly discounted. Does anyone know if this happenes each year or was that just a by chance sale they caught? It was nice because they can use them for a whole year from the date of purchase. I think they said they got them for about $10 more than a regular ticket for the halloween show. I would love to do this for the family if it is a yearly sale. Thanks for any info out there.

Yes, it's a yearly 'sale' that most amusement parks offer at the end of their regular operating seasons.  Most will offer reduced season pass ticket prices until a few weeks before the season opens.  This is the amusement parks' way of offering an early bird special on season passes.  Just keep your eyes open for info.  'Next year' season passes usually start getting offered around August or September.
