  1. Sure they are. As long as a queen sits on the throne of spain and the UK, they matter. Also, how about the king of Saudi Arabia?  (hence the name Saudi, ruled by the Saudis)

In the western world, their influence is constantly weakening. Ever since the magna carta, monarchical powers have been reduced because of the rise of democracy. Nowadays, most kings/queens are just figureheads, without much governmental pull. However, the queen of england is involved with a lot of diplomatic things, but not really with governing the UK. As democracy spreads, the relevancy of kings and queens will continue to diminish.

  2. Absolutely.Haute Couture for God's sake.

  3. Yes but only in Europe

  4. It's dated if people of royal descent in the western world expect a total monarchy. A constitutional monarchy gives the people a voice. I know there is a Saudi royal family and personally, they don't seem very relevant when it comes to middle eastern politics! Queen Elizabeth is irrelevant too. It seems these days people only care about what these royals are wearing or dating.  So, in total, I don't think these people are relevant. Why should anyone be privileged over everyone else due to the circumstances of their birth?

  5. they are a load of bull ****, thats what they are. what do they do.... c**p....

in conclusion, yes... kings and queens ARE still relavent in today's society..

  6. Not so much, but they sure are fun to talk about and romanticize.

And, ummmm no queen on the throne of Spain, buddy.  His name is Juan Carlos, and he´s devastatingly handsome.  But definitely NOT a queen!
