Question:

Are Krystal burgers and White Castle burgers made by the same company?

They are so similar... and priced similarly, and their stores fill the same niche in the marketplace.

The only difference I've ever been able to see is that Krystal is mostly in the South and White Castle is mostly in the North.

Are they the same company?

Or just competitors that hit on similar formulas and approaches?

  1.  White Castle burgers are steamed on a bed of onions. Krystal Burgers are grilled. Big difference in taste.

  2. I live in Texas, and I think there are Krystal Burgers restaurants here now. I think there's one in Denton or Frisco. I grew up eating them in the Southeast, and my husband grew up eating at White Castle in the midwest (Chicago area).

  3. Actually White Castle is mostly in the midwest, not the northeast, though they do have quite a few restaurants in New York and New Jersey.  The company is headquartered in Columbus Ohio.
