the bad part is the Energy Source, still Coal Burning in about 65% of this nation.

LED's are the future but there is always changes. OLED (Orgnaic LED's) are the light of the future.

I don't think so, they may not emit heat and have low energy costs, it's just as of now they aren't that bright and can't accommodate every day needs unless you have a ceiling covered with them.  They're suited for the small things they do now.  There are much better light sources.

No one has ever made one as big as a 60 watt bulb, how do they know it wouldn't be brighter?

I think it is the future.
