Are Leonel and the PLD Liberal or Conservative?

The PLD is a progressive party and they are part of the Progressive Bloc, but on the economy he's conservative. Many former PRD members support him. Even Johnny Ventura and Pena Gomez' son. I think it's confusing. Why do some in the PRD and some of the other social democratic parties support LF and the PLD even though he's in favor of the private sector and capitalism?

Very simple, he is for the moment the best solution for this country after the disastrous previous government, and the people even from other political party's, admit he is the best solution to bring this country where it belong.
