Are Levantine Arabs (Syria, Lebanon...) different from Gulf Arabs (Saudi, Kuwait...)?

Are they culturally and physically different? And are they descendants of the same ancestors?

  1. Yes they are culturally and physically different! and are in NO way descendants of the same ancestors!! Lebanon for example is a combination of different cultures (Phoenicians, Armenians, Arabs...) the Arabs invaded Lebanon is the "foutou7at" (holy wars to convert people to Islam) for example, Armenians came here after the genocide, Phoenicians where originally here ...

    The culture is 100% different between Lebanon and any other Arab country, here we have freedom, we have "life" we have pubs, bars ... in Saudia Arabia for example a girl can't go out without a head scarf so we're surely different!


  2. Saudis and Kuwaiti are Bedouins (desert dwellers) but now not much differences as both have civilized life.

  3. Certainly linguistically different. Culturally speaking, the Lebanese are much more mountain village based, whilst the Gulf-ese are Bedouin. But I'm not sure where the Iraqis would fit in to this.
