Question:

Are LinkCommunication a legit company or a scam?

I'm a student & I noticed on my university job website that Link Communication are looking for students to do some casual pr work for them (handing out leaflets and the like)! I was very interested so I printed off the application. But I found that it asks for a LOT of info about me (all body measurements, bank account number, sort code, copy of picture page of passport, mobile network operator). It may be because it says they operate all around the UK but I don't want to give that much info away without being sure that they are legit. I know that employers ask for these things once you have been given a job but they don't ask for it on the application. I know I'm probably being a bit over cautious but I just want to be 100% sure.

  1. No legitimate company would ask for your bank details before hiring you.

    There is a company,

    Link Communications Ltd.

    11 MOOREND GLADE, CHARLTON KINGS

    CHELTENHAM

    GLOUCESTERSHIRE

    GL53 9AT

    Company No. 05779924

But they are a Telecoms Company.

Limited companies can be checked on-line on the Companies House website  www.companieshouse.gov.uk.
