The only way to play Mendis is that the batsman will have to wait for his bowl to spin and then play him with the spin.He always flights the ball so that batsman can go after him, that is when they get out. If we can just leave him wicketless on his 1st 4 overs we can easily have an upperhand and can mentally defeat him eventually he will bowl worng ones which could be easily dispatched over the fence, lets take an example of the asia cup pakistan vs srilanka, pakistan lost but at end Misbah Ul haq over took his bowling ,hitting couple of huge ones over the fence.

India can surely overcome the two mighty spinners of srilanka.. As you specified M & M. But it may take some time. Thats it..

Havent u seen Sehwag who just charged against mendis in the test match..

it actualy takes sometime to get settled on the crease and then they can surely charge against all bowlers of srilanka.. am sure abt that..

True not only M&M there are many who are a nightmare and touch-wood half of the team can act in horror movies with out makeup.

It is just a matter of time and for sure Indians bounce back to turn the tables.

Everyone will struggle against the magic of Murali & Mendis.

India under-estimated him in the Asia Cup, and he made them pay, but i think any batsmen in the world would have struggled in Sri Lanka on turning pitches against Muralitharan and Mendis. Winning 1 test in Sri Lanka is a good achievement for India.

Muralitharan had a good record against India anyway, he always takes wickets against any side he plays, Mendis was an unknown quantity, you cant expect batsmen to be able to read someone they have never even faced or seen before.

Murali & Mendis will dominate world cricket until the day Muralitharan retires, teams will start to play Mendis better in a few years time, but at the moment any team that plays Sri Lanka will get blown away by the awesome twosome.
