  1. You could use them with hand wraps underneath or just as they are. Heavy bag cloves are used so that your skin doesn't tear under the constant pounding on the heavy bag. Mix martial arts gloves are fine for that.

You don't  really need padding unless you don't know how to punch which I'm sure you do know how.

  2. it all depends

    i use 3 different gloves

bag gloves which are MMA gloves with longer finger protection

grappling gloves which are the basic MMA glove

    and boxing gloves

the grappling gloves i use most every time

the padding is enough not to cause serious damage to your knuckles but you still get bruises n such which toughen up the knuckles

  3. I would go with something with a little more padding being you its so repeticous with a heavy bag.

  4. nope i have asked the same question the guy said that those gloves dont have enough padding and im in risk to break my hand so i got boxing gloves

P.S.- I don't use the boxing gloves i use my bare hands so i can make them harder so they hurt less and less each time but thats just me

  5. Heyy kimkaphwanx,

My personal recommendation from the experiences by everyone else out there is absolutely going with something with a bit of padding. That will help protect your hand and wrist from spraining/breaking leaving you out for days-weeks. I've heard too many stories with someone try to use MMA gloves, UFC gloves, or even just wrapping up your hand that lead into injuries.

A couple of light-weight gloves that I think would be pretty useful to you are:

    or the

I have always shopped at Martial Arts Pride for my MMA gear  and they are just awesome. http://www.martialartspride.com

I wish you the best of training,

    Jack

  6. MMA gloves are fine. bags come with gloves that have even less padding sometimes. you don't need huge gloves. If hitting a bag with mma gloves where that bad imagine how bad they'd be to hit a guy. your hand aint gonna crumble or break.

  7. There are a MMA gloves made specifically for heavy bags called bag gloves. Those are what you want to use. They are better padded to protect your hands and wrist.  Check out this website!
