Are MSI laptops good? And what's the best laptop? ?

I have never hear of this brand.  If you need a laptop with a mic and a webcam I can recommend two very good ones.  The Dell 1330 is a high end laptop very fast and compact 13 inches.

The Hp dv5z is 15 inches and a little slower than dell but is still a very good laptop with all the features that you are looking for.

MSI is probably as good as any other laptop, but what you should look for is good support for that laptop if you have problems in the future.  There are many other laptops out there, and I am going to be slightly prejudiced here and recomment Dell for a good laptop with excellent support.  Very reasonable for the money, and you can "design" or pick what you need in the selection process.  Check it out.  

I have 3 Dell laptops in my home, one for me, my hubby and my son.  I also gave one to my daughter and son-in-law for Christmas.  I tell you the only problem we have had is with wearing out the battery, we were able to get additional batteries from Dell or eBay for a reasonable cost. Our Dells are all more than one year old and still working great!

If you set on the MSI, check them out carefully, check for good support assistance, and warranties on it.  And, do compare to others, for examples-  Dell, HP, Gateway, and Sony, but there are alot of others out.  Do the same check for them also.
