I would say 65% yes. They are conservative because they have been brainwashed by this two party that is PAS and UMNO. As a result they mind has been confine. The Malays are not given a chance to choose their own religion but to followed a religion that they are unsure of. The Malay leader are afraid of Interfaith dialog due to their lack or imperfect understanding of religion. They create they own version of Islam that cannot be found in else where .  But Malay in Malaysia are not that extreme compare to certain Malay in Indonesia.
