Are Marine Reserves Needed to Protect Global Fisheries?

I actually think they are needed.  The nice thing about a Reserve is that nobody gets to fish in it so the antural ecosystem is protected in its mature form with no outside forces destroying one part of the chain.

No. For the US this is done by the US Coast Guard. I do admit it is a hard task and they do need more but until that is authorized it is all theirs.pp
