Someone said the 27's were "king-sized". Is this true?

On another quick note, how do you pronounce Marlboro?

  1. I don't smoke, I think it's gross

  2. "27 blend gets its name from the number of attempts that the company Marlboro spent trying to get the right blend they wanted for this cigarette. At the time of creation, there was no name specified for the cigarette. But after Marlboro was satisfied on the 27th attempt, leads to the name now. This nomenclature follows the pattern used by WD-40. The No. 27 blend cigarette was originally released as Marlboro's "Christmas blend", and following brisk sales, was brought to market in its current packaging. Original cartons and packs for the blend were black with red, and normally available only during the holiday season." http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Marlboro_(c...

They are the same size as regular cigs

I've heard people say "Mar-Bro" but I'm pretty sure it's pronounced like it's spelled "marl-bo-ro"

  3. dont smoke. its bad for you.

    " mar-ul-burrow "

  4. I know some of the answers already mostly answered your question, but I wanted to clear some stuff up.

They are "king sized" cigarettes. Where I come from king sized is a 85mm cig and a queen sized is a 100mm cig. The queens are however narrower. All of the cigarettes marlboro sells are available in the standard 85mm (Kings) or 100mm (100's) size with the exception of the 72s varieties, which measure 72mm. I know it doesn't make much sense that the queen gets a longer cigarette than the king, but oh well.

If you want to start smoking, the 27's are a good choice; it is what I started on. I later moved to Camel Filters because it was more of a "typical" smoke. Make sure you have a good reason to smoke.... Many people won't tell you that the benefits outweigh the risk, but I will. I need to smoke to get through a day without chewing out people for being morons. They really do relive stress and the buzz you get off the first one of the day is pleasant.

Oh, and Marlboro is pronounced like you would think it would be; Marl- like as in Carl, Burrow - as in a dig. You don't have to even say Marlboro most of the time; people know what your talking about if you were to just say, for example,  hey can I get a pack of 27's?

Good luck and keep it cool.
