Question:

Are Masters tickets passed down through families?

Is this why they are so difficult to get? Are the tickets passed down from generation to generation, meaning, if a guy has a ticket, can he leave them to his son/daughter in his will? Or is this not allowed?

  1. Once you are granted tickets, you are allowed to keep buying them every year.  I don't think you can will them on to your children.  Every now and then they will open a lottery for the general public for a chance to buy tickets

  2. Yes that is what happens.

  3. My Step-father has been getting them forever ( he's 82 ). When he dies the badges will not be handed down. They will be issued to a "friend of a member". This is the hitch, these guys are VERY protective of the Augusta National and money is NOT the reason you get in. Although they are all rich ( so is my Step-father).

  4. it might b like that.

but i guess it also depends on wat the family member does for the game.
