I might buy a mazda protege. I was told you can get a lot of miles out of them. Can anyone tell me- do you agree? Are they good cars? More specifically, what about the Mazda Protege?

  1. mazdas are very good cars, but like any car, maintenance is the key to long life.  j*p car parts are much higher than American but they last longer and are of higher quality.

  2. Mazda cars are awesome, Especially the Protege. It comes close to the Corolla in reliability, but it is much more exciting to drive and even more exciting to look at. They are however, underrated in terms of reliability by J.D. Power Ratings, but not by Consumer Reports. You can easily get over 300,000 out of a Protege with regular maintenance. My family had a Millenia with 110,000 miles on it, but sadly it got totaled. Very reliable car. The Protege is one of their best cars. I would buy it. You can't go wrong with it!
