Are McCain and his 7 houses out of touch with the middle class?

McCain has said that he does not have a clue about how many houses he has ....and that the economy is doing just fine.

Yet people are struggling, being lay off, and houses are being foreclosed on and the Banking systems is about to go bust.

Is McCain out of touch?

Lets see, got to go vote on the senate floor then check in with campaign advisers and also call a few heads of state and see how things are going in their part of the world and a quick e-mail to my sons in Iraq then a stop for a townhall meeting and then a bit of late dinner and hopefully four or five hours of sleep, Gee, too bad I didn't have time to check in on Cindy's property investments, maybe tommorrow.

The economy is slowing down, not retracting. It is stalling, but it's not as bad as people think.  The banking system will survive just fine.

Hey "tired trucker" you may have missed that your right wing friends were making fun of Obama for suggesting that we should check the air pressure in our tires, which have nothing to do with electronic ignitions, or timing points. Got news for you. You have to have a LOT of cash to run for president.  That's how it works. Until we change it, by putting term limits on these politicians, we are going to continue having to choose between one rich lawyer and another. The common man, a factory worker, truck driver, teacher or dentist just doesn't have the cash to participate. Who cares how many houses McCain has. He spent 5 years living in a bamboo cage, good for him.

Why should we be surprised a candidate has seven homes? Just about every congressman in Washington has at least two. Besides, if we really want to trade jabs at who is more "out of touch" we can go after Obama, who said we should all "tune up our cars" to save gas. Uhh hey Barry, cars have had electronic ignition systems for the last 25 years, the last car made that needed to be "tuned" went out of production around 1982.

The fact is, both of these guys know next to nothing about the economy. Both of these guys have had their snouts in the public trough all their adult lives. Neither of them has never ran a business, or had to meet a payroll. If I could go back a year ago, and you could have asked me to pick the two WORST  candidates that were in the 2 dozen man and woman field, in both parties, I would have picked McCain vs. Obama. A year later, here we are. God help us all.

Hey John Dubya McCain....cute name, har har. Obama said if we inflate our tires AND tune up our cars we would save enough gas to make up for all the domestic oil we aren't getting. Sorry, this was a DUMB statement ripped directly out of Jimmy Carter's 1976 playbook. You remember Jimmy Carter? Probably not. He's the president that told us during the last energy crisis to turn or thermostats down to 60 degrees and wear a sweater.

The democrats are right, we can't drill our way out of this problem, but it's a start. We have about 40 years worth of oil. In my opinion, the only viable long term replacement is hydrogen and electric powered. Hydrogen however is not a fuel, it's actually a battery, because it takes electricity to make it. The key is we need electricity, lots of it. Our current grid has brownouts every summer because it can't keep up with all the air conditioners. Imagine plugging 100 billion cars into it. We need nuclear reactors. Lots of them. It's our only option. The sooner we wake up to this the better.

Townhall meetings are the place where politicians get in touch with the middle class.  McCain has offered but Obama has declined to meet and do a number of Townhall meetings.  Seems that Obama is afraid McCain may be the one more in touch with the middle class and Obama come off as elitist.
