  1. Don't take our word for it...check the nutrition info on the McD website. Many times salads aren't much better for you than a sandwich or burger (high in sat fat, unsat fat, calories, and calories from fat). Also, many times nutritional info leaves out stuff that normally comes with it, so read carefully. Or special order your food. ie. low-fat dressing, no cheese, leave off the crispy noodles or croutons, etc.) You can help make it pretty healthy with a few modifications.

  2. No! Acording to the movie Super Size Me, they're not any healthier than the rest of McDonald's food. Some of the salads are supposed to have even more calories than the burgers when consumed with cheese and dressing. Currently, a McDonald's Premium Southwest Chicken Salad with Dressing contains 550 calories whereas a Big Mac only contains 540 calories. They contain similar amounts of fat and trans-fat amounts varying depending on the amount of dressing and cheese you use.

  3. Yeah they are very healthy! way better than any burger or nuggets! I LOVE LOVE LOVE the southwest salad with grilled chicken and the Basil Vinegarette dressing. Its so delicious, very fresh and slightly tart, due to the dressing. I love all their salads though :) you can't go wrong. they are tasty and healthy!

  4. Coming from someone who is a shift manager at mcdonalds, the permium salads contain just as much bad stuff for you as the burgers, the only salad that is somewhat healthy is the side salad with the lite balsamic vinagrette dressing, or no dressing at all.

  5. They are low in calories, even if you eat the regular (not fat free) dressing and croutons.  I like the chicken bacon ranch.  The salad is HUGE and only like 450 calories.

  6. Yes they actually are

try the grilled chicken ceasar its really good!

  7. Yes, McDonalds salads are healthy. I like the fruit & walnut salad.

  8. I suppose relatively speaking but have a lookat the ingredients inthe salad dressing - most have sugar in them in some form or other (glucose syrup etc. ) Incidentally, have you ever looked at the ingredient list for french fries there?? (And here was I thinking it was a humble potato with no idea you could have  french fries with 9 ingredients, one of which I can't pronounce!)
