Are Mexico's complains about letting in huge numbers of poor mexicans racist?

The mexican government and others mexicans say they are concerned about the strain on government services, lower wages, and overcrowding, but aren't they really just using this as an excuse because they are racist against hispanics?

When people make these arguments in the US they are called "anti immigrant, anti hispanic, or racist." Now that mexico is making the same arguments are they going to be accused or hating or being racist against themselves?

Using the logic of "you are racist if you don't want them here"....then the obvious answer to your question is Yes.

Of course, it would be self hatred and self racism.  

Your question just proves how insane the allegation of racism is against anyone who is anti illegals.

The bottom line here is that Mexico has the responsbility to care for Mexican citizens.

And the US has it for their citizens.

Deal with your own responsibilities folks.

I'm confused by your phrasing. How can he not let poor MEXICANS in? Aren't they already living there.

Now when people make this argument in America it is considered racist because 1) America isn't that stuffed 2) If we came up with better immigration laws those "poor" mexicans wouldn't be so poor because they wouldn't have to get shady blue collar jobs who don't ask them if they're legal.

Yes, it's a well kept secret that Mexicans hate Mexicans.

Actually, they are voicing legitimate concerns and I fail to see how they are "complaining".  Here's the part of the article that mentions the Mexican gov't:

Mexican President Felipe Calderon plans to help returning nationals by providing food, medical care and temporary shelter if needed. But reports are already out in Mexico that the large number of illegal immigrants returning home could drive down wages and put pressure on social services — the same concerns many Americans have with illegals living and working in the U.S.

Not a lot of people understand that the ruling oligarchy in Mexico are fundamentally Europeans.  They also don't understand how hard they have tried to get rid of the poor class of mestizo's.. who, by the way, squatted on land owned by the eliet a few years back until the army moved them off the land while killing a few to make the point... don't come back.

Yes.  Mexico may well do that.  But if you read the Mexican Newspapers, you discover they have a labor shortage.  The preferred the Guatamalans because they could be cheated on wages, and didn't whine about the poor living conditions.

I also want to point out that the illegal aliens who have wants and warrents from the Mexican Police them have suggested they would not go home alive.  Just because the non-criminal types are moving toward Mexico.. 30 million is a long way away... and the bad guys are not going to leave willingly at all.

My local WalMart as well as other markets in my area have begun hiring old folks for the jobs.  They don't do it like a top shape illegal alein, but they do it, and they live.  We ARE going the right direction.

Families broken up?  No.. they have never lived there, but they can now, and young folks learn the ways of the country so much better than old dogs.

Yes they are, As I have said before, they are sending us their undesirables, now they do not want them back! I am just glad to hear that 1.3 million of them have returned where they belong! What a wonderful start!! Now if we can get all the rest of them, no matter where they are from to leave then we the citizens will have our country back!
