  1. It's hard to say "advanced civilization"--what criteria are you using? Do you mean EARLIEST advanced civilization? If so, I'd say that China was that--it predates any Mesoamerican civilization by millennia, for example. Mesopotamia wasn't really Persia (the old name for Iran)--it was what is now Iraq. Sumeria, in southern Iraq, is one of the world's oldest civilizations, though. And by civilization, I mean that it had a very complex structure. So Sumeria and China both fit the qualifications.

  2. Then what about Dravidians (tamilans,)? You know the Tamil poem that race was civilized, when the stones were present, the sand were present not the sea.

  3. They were advanced at that time. Look at where they are now!

  4. i just quote Hegel:

"In Persia first arises that light which shines itself and illuminates what is around...The principle of development begins with the history of Persia; this constitutes therefore the beginning of history"

    and

"the beginning of evolution of man starts with the history of Persia"

  5. your're talking historically right?

  6. Not even close.

  7. The Incas and their predecessors in Peru might have had a thing or two to say about Mexico.

The Chinese were civilized well before anyone in Mesopotamia, and the Egyptians as well.

  8. They gave us the idea that violence is ok in civilization.  The Persians gave us the idea of the devil and the Aztecs slaughtered to appease their gods.  The word carribean comes the word cannibal.  The most advanced I would say would be those with space programs and that would be the US and Russia.  Neither have much in common with those two you mention.

  9. they were the most advanced at the time, but not by modern standards of course

  10. First of all the Chinese were not "millennia" ahead of Mesoamerica, Q.

Mesopotamia and Mesoamerica are two of a handful of cradles for civilization.  While some of these may be argued as to whether outside influence spread the advanced ways, it is generally believed that South America, India, Egypt, and possibly more such as Turkey, or the Monk's mound builders all individually birthed civilizations without outside aid.
