There is a large tree with them in the pasture where my horses are now staying and they are eating them off the ground and love them. I have not ever had to deal with this before and would like to know if anyone knows if its a bad thing? I cant find anything on the internet about it either.

  1. no

  2. Nah, they should be okay. There are a lot of mulberry bushes on one of our trails, and the horses LOVE shoving their heads in and getting a few when the riders aren't paying attention! Just make sure everything is passing okay through your horses, and make sure they're getting enough of other foods like their hay, grain, and grasses.

  3. I have a mulberry tree that branches into my arena corner...my horses love them and have never shown any sign of a problem.  In fact, I think I looked into it a couple years ago and it wasn't listed anywhere as toxic, etc.

  4. My horses eat them all the time.  It has never bothered them yet.  But I would keep an eye on them to make sure they are peeing and pooping okay - berries can sometimes be binding.

  5. My horses love mulberries... to the extent where they would eat them off the tree! and nothing has ever happened to them. i am possitive that mullberriess are fine for your horses!
