It was maybe 2 in the morning and I was preparing to go to bed so i wanted to say goodnight to my rats and while i was petting one of them, she started to skake and her ears went flat up. It looked as if she wanted to attack me. I also pet my other rat but she did'nt act as bad ad the other rat. This behavior only happend with the two oldest rats who are probably teenagers but it did'nt happen for the youngest who is probably a couple weeks now. What does this meen??

  1. It is nothing to do with wanting to attack you. They're in heat and when does are in heat they shake and waggle they're ears. Because you touched their back they must of thought your were a male and went into their 'mating dance'. Its perfectly normal.
