  1. Well, it is really hard to say without more information.

Just judging from the photos, I would say a cross is more likely.

  2. if it looks like an apple, smells like an apple and tastes like an apple then it must be an apple.and get some groceries for that gelding.

edit:i didnt mean anything like that.you just may have a hard keeper and i can see he has plenty to eat in the background.

  3. They appear to be Quarter Horse breed type and that would be enough to satisfy me if I wanted a Quarter Horse and they are mixed breed grade horses with QH dominant qualities. I don't place much value on purebred pedigree paper but I do value a horse's temperament, health, structure, and physical abilities to achieve the conditioning and level of training for the task it will be used for and you can bet the ranch that thousands and thousands of registered purebred horses which were selectively bred for performance perfection based on their heritage pedigree do not measure up to expectations because of faults and wind up at slaughter auctions. So I suggest you forget about paper and just focus on your horse's temperament, health, structure, and physical abilities and be satisfied if they meet those expectations. Based on structure, as far as I can determine, your horses are Quarter Horse breed type and if it happens that they measure up in the qualities of temperament, health, and physical abilities, then you have Quarter Horses as fine as any purebred Quarter Horse. The rest then is up to you to physically condition them and train them for the task you expect of them.

  4. Neither or your horses look anything like quarter horses. They are probably some sort of cross. Without papers or genetic testing you will never really know for sure.

  5. The first horse looks full quarter. The second not so much.  He could be full quarter, but with a small rear end. There is no way of knowing for sure. It looks like he might have a lighter breed in him. If you were to crop his chest and head out of the picture I would have guessed Arab, but his front end doesn't look anything like an arab.

  6. I doubt it.  They look like "mutts."  Not that there's anything wrong with that.  Unless you are breeding or showing in breed shows, it doesn't matter if the horse is pure or registered, just enjoy it!

  7. wow...your gelding is small and he doesn't look like a pony.

My yearling looks like him right now...same size too...but he's going through the yearling fugly's right now...my vet said he is going to be slow to develope because he's a orphan...

did you have a vet check your gelding?

Edit...DOH! sorry...I see where you said you are already working with your  vet...sorry about that.

  8. They don't really look like it.  Do they have papers?

  9. Can't really tell with the fencing in the way. To me the gelding looks less QH than the mare, but then again the fence is in the way :)

I LOVE your mare by the way, she looks fun to ride...she has a kind eye too.

The gelding is a little on the thin side I would fatten him up a bit ^^

    GOOD LUCK
