Are Naples, Itlay and Napa, California related?

In THE DOG OF POMPEII by Louis Untermeyer, it talks about Naples, Italy. Does Naples relate in any way to Napa, California. In the book, it says that Naples makes wine, anything interesting? Napa is famous for making wine. Help!!!

They both have a Mediterranean climate, which is the ONLY way they're related.

There is no relation between the names of  Naples (Napoli) & Napa. The name of Napa, California, is of Native American origin, most likely from the Patwin word "napo" meaning house. The name of Napoli, Italy, is of Greek origin, the name deriving from "nea" meaning new, and "polis", a city.
