Recently I read about Sanyo Eneloop batteries and was tempted to buy them. I wanted to know if normal NiMH batteries (2500mAh) are better than Sanyo Eneloop (2000mAH).

  1. It depends on how you use them.

If you know your going to charge them right before use, then your better with the higher capacity rated batteries.

If your bad about charing, and you charge them and let them sit for 3 weeks in the drawer before you finally use them, then your probably better off with the low self-discharge batteries.

Either way you should avoid "fast" chargers and you will get more life out of your batteries.  The slower you charge them, the more charge they hold (they will actually charge up to full capacity) and the longer (more charge/discharge cycles) they will last.
