  2. Nicaragua is not a third world country, they're somewhat developed.  Japan is definitely not a third world country, it's a very developed country.

  4. The term "3rd world" is generally taken to mean a country where the standard of living is significantly below that of developed nations; average income is very low, there is little industrialization, transportation is poor, electrical systems are not well developed...things like that.

    You see Japan, it's nothing like that. Nicaragua still is in most of the country.
