Are Olympic judges being unfair?

In this case I want ask about Women's Horse Vault. In the final China's Fei Cheng completely missed her last attempt. Alicia Sacramone did pretty good considering that most of other competitors missed their landings and she didn't. Somehow she ended up in fourth and Cheng got bronze. I feel Sacramone should've gotten bronze and I'm really angry about this. I think the judges are full of bull c**p ( to say the least), what do you guys think?

  1. unfair?how bout not fair at all.

She ends her Beijing Games disappointed yet again. Only this time, it had little to do with her.

Sacramone finished fourth in the vault final Sunday night despite bronze medalist Cheng Fei landing the second of her two vaults on her knees. Sacramone finished .025 points behind Cheng.

  2. I felt the same way. At first I thought it was all about the routine and the difficulty. Cheung Fei had one hand in front of the other and her landing wasn't clean at all. she stepped out of the white line! Alisha Sacramone didn't have the best landing( it was good though)but she landed inside the white line.I think that that is very unfair. I'm not exactly sure if the judges are doing it on pirpose, but I'm glad some other  people are noticing too.

  3. All the games where there are judges china always wins no matter what.  Even if their routine wasnt good at all.  The judges are definitely purposely making china win

  4. China wins another medal by cheating.  That's all that can be said.  Of course Alicia should have gotten bronze.  This is ridiculous now.

  5. Yes indeed they are. There was also the the balance beam incedent .In the team comp. The chinees girl almost fell off about 5 times. And still got a better score.Than an american that was almost flawless. The europian and other judges are just jealous.Because there gymnasts are not as good as the americans.Besides Chinas girl arent even old enough.I think there also just trying to kiss the host countries behind. They didnt deserve any gold in womens gynastics far as im concerned. And for those that think otherwise ,i dont no what you were watching.

  6. I don't think they are pro-Chinese. I think they are anti-American. There are many European judges and they are mixing in politics with sports which is completely not right. Even in the recent uneven bar competition when Nastia Liukin tied with He Kexin. Obviously they made it a tie on purpose because they knew the tie-breaker would go to He. What I find surprising is nothing is being done about this and about the age issue. That's a whole different story but this judge problem really has to be investigated.

  7. i totally agree with you. non of the other girls landed, and even one of them landed on their knees twice! even if Alicia had an easier routine, she almost stuck her landings. the coach came on later and talked about how he even thought she got robbed of the bronze and how disappointed he was with the judging. It just doesn't make sense, and that poor girl got robbed once again.

  8. Well if you are really looking at the performance, the Chinese gymnasts have been sloppy. Of course no one is perfect, ( not that a perfect score is possible anymore, this is a new scoring guide [ Which obviously is so flaw that even the judges have no idea whats going on ])

Take for example the Women's Horse Vault. The Chinese gymnast's performance was utterly laughable. Yes it may have been a more difficult routine, but winning a bronze after knocking out someone who actually delivered a performance worth seeing, why? She tried harder? ( And I might add failed. One of the worst landings of the night was hers )

Again take again the women's uneven bars. ( And lets just say hypothetically that He Kexin is of age to compete. ) Liukin's performance absolutely was the better of the too. They were of equal difficultly, but the fact of the matter is He Kexin had far more ( and more serious ) mistakes in her performance while Liukin's performance was nearly flawless.

But I'm not saying this is all the blame of China. Remember all the Judges are required to have no ties with the home country. This was a brilliant idea. Until you actually look at it. You have 8 or 9 judges from countries who at best maybe 2 have produced a gymnast worth noting. Many haven't competed to any notable degree in decades if ever.

So you have extremely inexperienced judges, coupled with the new scoring system that no one has any clue what to make of, as well as a heavy chinese bias. So, Olympic judges being fair? Of course not. The same problem follows the Olympics. I.E. the Korean games.

But that's not the least of it.

The sport of baseball and softball is headed for the ax.

    Why?

Literally because the USA team smashes the other teams.

So because you suck the true competitor's have to defend their passion and talent? ( Note the above is aimed at the Olympics not the Chinese. )

For F**** Sake you have Ping-pong  as an olympic sport.

And Baseball/Softball is the one you pick on?

Whats next to add to the list? Bar darts?

Oh maybe we can do  Halo contest next.

    Honestly, ping-pong, trampoline,etc.

Now don't get me wrong. I believe the competitor's are skilled, but Ping-pong is in no way a justifiable sport. The fact of the matter is the only reason it is in the Olympic's, and I mean no racial bias here, It is played heavily in China.

Now give credit where it's due. China has had Amazing performance's  from their athlete's, as well as many other countries. What is just sad is that the judge's have let sports decrease into a bias, politically or medal feud.

Olympic Judges fair? Rarely if Ever.

    China's fault? No.

    Olympic Committee's fault? Absolutely.

This has certainly been a controversial Olympics at a time when China wanted to prove to the world that they could be the host. It will be remembered of course, though in some area's as a mistake not a contest of skill by the athlete's and that is truly detestable.

  9. No. She did a much easier routine than the Chinese which matters a lot. Chang Fei did a lot of twisting while Alicia's was very simple. Clean landing is not everything, besides Alicia's landing wasn't that clean either. You earn a lot of points if you do difficult routine.

Commentators are so biased esp. that Bela guy coz he is the Manager of US gymnastics team.
