  1. Oh yeah. They can learn tricks, recognize you, all sorts of stuff. Whats cooler than a foot long fish that you can pet? lol

  2. Yepper, my albino tiger oscar (Ludka) is pretty smart, he recognizes me as the one who feeds him, and he can figure out how to crack open crab-shells, snail shell, and he can draw the ghost-shrimp out from hiding by acting like he is dead. He also knows the difference between my hand and my better-halfs hand, I stick my hand in there to clean, he leaves me alone, but if my better-half sticks his in there....Ludka will go after him! I have a smart boy!!

  3. I think they have some intelligence, I know they can recognize you when you come home and they can live a long time and they do learn

  4. I'm not sure how smart they are, but they sure are fun and have a lot of personality!

  5. no, i think angelinas are smarter maybe peters maybe even jennifers

  6. i think people underestimate the intelligence of all and any animal.

  7. My father had an Oscar and he said it was the neastest smartest pet he had ever had. He taught it tricks, it recognized him, it was pretty amazing!  Plus...the bonus is they usually live a reeeeally long time! :)

  8. Yes they are almost problem solving. I had an Oscar that only fed from me and no-one else. I even had one that only let my daughter come near the tank and would throw it self against the tank when others were in view.
