I am watching the masters right now and have noticed that every golfer is wearing either a hat or a visor. Is this part of the dress code along with the fact that players are required to wear long pants.

  1. No. But everyone should wear a hat in the sun. Skin cancer is serious business.

  2. No, absolutely not. Its purely a contractual thing with the players sponsors, with many of the top players earning millions per season for donning their headwear alone, even the caddies have got in on the act in regular tournaments.Though, for Augusta the caddies may not and must wear the white boilersuits provided also.

  3. Why the **** would you think about this?

You seriously must be a *****.

I hope you put this on Yahoo! Answers to settle some sort of bet with a friend, and i hope you lost your bet.

    Loser.

  4. hats are an option, but is all about sponsorship, big money. long pants required.

  5. Not unless their sponsors require it.

  6. I don't think so, but interesting observation.  Maybe it's just due to the sunny weather?

  7. no they are not required

but, corporate companies pay them big money to wear their hats and plus they keep them cool during the hot tournaments which doesnt apply for the masters because its only about 60-70 degrees

  8. Nope, but I am sure their sponsor's are lining their pockets for the advertising space though, probably at a pretty premium price...

  9. No
