Hebrews who embraced Islam?

That was the theme of a book David Ben Gurion wrote. Opinions? Other sources on this?

  1. yes it could be possible

  2. No.

Pals are Arabs, and Jews are related to Arabs (as well as to Kurds and Armenians).

Thus, Jews (as we were formerly known:  Hebrews) and Arabs are cousins.

The Jews are descended from Issac, and the Arabs are descended from Ishmael.

If you study the history of Islam you see that very few Jews embraced Islam, which made Muhammad angry enough to go on a few murderous sprees and write/say very unflattering things about Jews.

    PEACE:)

  3. Do not tell me that there are still any pure race descendants today.

Palestinians are multi-ethnic. They are compination of Europeans (mainly Greek), Hebrews, Egyptians and Arabs

  4. it is well known that during the Arab conquest around 630, Jews in Israel were forced to convert to Islam. latest genetically research show that many Arabs in the Galil (north of Israel) are genetically close to Jews - but not all of them and not Arabs of the southern part of Israel.

  5. Yes. The ben Gurion book was published in 1910 in Yiddish and republished in Tel Aviv in 1979 in hebrew. The Romans only removed the jews from Judea; otherwise the jewish population remained in place; today's Palestinians are ethnically a mix of Hebrew and Syrian.

The so-called "jews" who have taken over and despoiled the Holy Land are atheists whose forebears were Central Europeans who converted around the 8th-10th centuries.  The so-called "Ashkenazi". They are not jewish in either the religious or ethnic sense; they are just Russians.

  6. ew of course not

  7. As Palestinians we believe we are descended from the ancient Canaanites or the Philistines, who live along the coast of Gaza, Ashdod, and Ashkelon. which is our point that the modern-day Palestinians were present before the Hebrews. However, many Arabs compare the 2 cultures as "sisters",because of our similarities and traditions.

  8. I like most Israelis am a Mizhari, (Oriental Jew), I belive that they are descended from Arab Immigrants (Largely), Byzantine Immigrants, and at least in some part Jews.

  9. Undoubtably the Palestinians are descended from both Caananite and Hebrew blood. The ben Gurion book seems to be a sensitive topic with our ashkenazi participants; yet it was brought to the world's attention by one of them, the Tel Aviv historian Tom Segev,in his book "One Palestine".
