Are Patriots fans gearing up for a disappointing year?

There's no way they'll be as good as last year, record wise.

I'm sorry, but they talked so much c**p last year it was disgusting. When the Giants won the game, I cheered as if my team had won.

Well actually thats pretty interesting.

Past 4 years the superbowl losers have had horrible seasons,

bears, seahawks, all those teams have had horrible seasons the following year, but i cant see it happening to brady.

The Patriots had a great season last year, in spite of all the contraversy and the ultimate loss in the Superbowl.

I suspect that we'll see them have another great year this year with some new faces and some of the old faces back again.  I wouldn't count them out of a serious run at the superbowl, but I don't think we'll see another 18 win season from any team in the near future.

I think they'll have a great year, although I don't see them topping their 18-1 from last season.

But if Brady goes down, their season does as well, IMO.

And yes, I was happy for the Giants too. Hubby's a NY fan, so the house was crazy that night. Plus, I'm a sucker for the underdog team!!!

Patriots will roll through again into the playoffs. San Diego and Indy will be the only challenges. Patriots still have the best odds to make the Superbowl, as they probably will because they own everybody.

It will be hard to top last year, but if the Pats win the super bowl it will be better than last year despite their record... so who knows.

I don't think anyone gears up to be dissapointed. They may not expect to go 16-0 but they still have the goal of winning the Superbowl like everyone else. Even the Lions.
