  1. Not everyone in LA is fake or stuck up.

  2. No ,because that's where the LA Fake/Phony people are moving into.

  3. Yes and No!

It depends on what age category you're talking about to. Young L.A. girls are way stuck up compared to the girls in PHX. I can't tell you about the guys...sorry! But the way I see it to, most people that live in L.A. are born and raised so they have their families there and the group of friends they grew up with. They have all the family and friends they need, so they don't care to make any new ones. In Phoenix, there's people that have moved here from everywhere, some don't have family or friends here, so they want to be out meeting new people, making new friends, so they might be friendlier. But some of those same people come here to start a new life and they expect everything to be perfect, and want it to stay perfect, those are the people that are too d**n sensitive.

  4. I've been here almost a year now and I'm not finding it to be that way.

Drivers here are so absurdly rude and inconsiderate. I think we ranked dead-last in the category of driver courtesy. We're also #1 nationwide in identity theft, and #1 in hit-and-run accidents. This is partly because of all the illegals who don't want to stick around an accident scene, and partly because Phoenix drivers just don't give a d**n about bikers or pedestrians who get in their way.

The funny thing is that traffic here really isn't all that bad. Very few traffic jams for such a big metropolitan area. There's plenty of open space and plenty of freeways. I drive 15 miles to work every day and I can make the trip in 25 minutes easily. Traffic really isn't bad here at all. It's just the attitudes of drivers that make our freeways such h**l.

The other responder was right, saying about Phoenix being a place where people are in transit. From about May to October, it's too hot for people to be outdoors so they're just running around between their car and the air-conditioned supermarket, bank or hair salon. Plus, it's not a "walking city" like Washington, NYC or Boston. Everything is spread-out.

The thing you have to remember about Phoenix is the climate. I really do believe that the heat psychologically affects a lot of the people living here, to the point that they are rude with strangers and rude to other drivers. They move here for the 80-degree winters, but it's the 115-degree summers that they're not ready for.

  5. Yes and no.

Many are from LA that live here.

Scottsdale people think they are it and have their own little dream world.

Tempe is pretty nice as the age group is younger.

Phoenix can be hit and miss depending on the area.

Glendale is the illegal capital of the valley so who knows with them.

Chandler is cool at Mike's trailer park, hang with the pick-up people.

  6. Yes we are.

  7. PHoenix is a place where lots of people are "in transit".  So no, it is not known as a friendly place.  Most neighbors wave as they are closing their garage doors behind them. /

  8. Yes, I have lived in the Phoenix area for 11 yrs and people are much more friendly.
