  1. Why do people get on Pietersen's back when he fails to make 1 decent score??

He scored 152 against South Africa at Lords!

He is averaging 50 in test cricket

He is averaging 50 this year in test cricket!

Collingwood on the other-hand should have never come back!! He is out of form! out of luck!! he has no confidence and he cant lay bat on ball! Collingwood has to go back to First Class cricket and get some runs. At the moment he is not international class

England should have played Owais Shah!! who has been on the brink of the England side for 2 years now. Shah is such a talented player and match-winner!

    So to sum up!!

    Keep Pietersen

    DROP Collingwood

  2. both of them r key to england side

  3. Pietersen? A bloke averaging around 50 in Test cricket. Hmmm, if that is a luxury, then you must have in mind one h**l of a team.

Collingwood is badly out of form, but is good enough to come back. He's done it before.

  4. Pietersen has turned into a one knock a series guy. Three hundreds and no 50s in his last 4 series isnt any justice to his ability. Theres no doubt that hes our most talented and gifted bat though. We need him to improve his consistency.

Collingwood should go back to county cricket and score a few runs as far as I'm concerned. I would play a 5 man attack anyway so I think he might struggle to get back in.

  5. KP is a class act and will always get slated when his unorthodox play gets him out. Anyone who averages over 50 in test match cricket is a class act so he is probably the first name on the team sheet every time.

Colly is another question and needs to find some form or sorry he just has to be left out.

Bigger problem is who bats at three and who keeps wicket.

They missed Broad today and I think a massive mistake to leave him carrying the drinks wnen he could have had a bat in his hand. Even Lord Boycott has compared him to a young G. Sobers and our Geoff is not the dullest knife in the box.

Plus we need a keeper who can keep.

Freddie bats at 6 Broad at 7 and Chris Read at 8.

Then we may have to find a spinner but then that is for another day.

  6. pieterson should play with lot of responsibiltiy now because old guns are not in form.. as like vaughan and collingwood (hes not too old) ..  pieterson think about himself very confident that hes the only one in the world and he could hit every bowler at every time.. confidence is good thing but over confidence is not

  7. An all round poor performance with the bat by the team. Cook failed to go on and make his runs big, same with Bell. Flintoff showed glimpses of hope that he is not far from what he was. Pieterson played poorly trying to whip a straight delivery into the leg side. Where as Collingwood does have a question mark above his name. I agree with the papers, Collingwood has been selected for his batting yet has only managed 93first class runs this season, where as Broad who has been dropped is averaging 50+ according to Sky Sports. Surely if you are slecting Collingwood to strengthen the batting it may well have been stronger leaving Broad in.

However I believ both Pieterson and Collingwood have the ability to come through from the low scores and make it big, possibly in the 2nd innings on hat looks to be a road of a track, and if they cant do it then who says they're not going to be able to do it later in the series or in the ODIs. Collingwood has the grit and determination to make it through this and although he may lose his place later this summer I think long term he will feature.
